Beach Days in Boracay
- Published on
To celebrate my sister’s birthday and my dad’s retirement, we decided to take a trip to Boracay Island. It was a bit of a last-minute decision since we only finalized the date a month before. An international flight just wasn’t an option this year, especially with how crazy the ticket prices were.
The trip was a breath of fresh air. Away from the bustling city of Cebu and its constant traffic, Boracay was exactly what my dad had in mind. It was beautiful, no doubt! I had the best time while we were there. Beaches aren’t exactly rare for me since they’re common back home, but Boracay was different. With its bright blue skies, fine white sand, and an atmosphere where no one cared what you wore (as long as you weren’t walking around naked), it felt special. However, since it's a popular tourist spot in the Philippines, the prices for everything were crazy! I remember my mom buying medicine and the price was twice of how much it was back home! Crazy.
The food was great though! I tried this Pork Burrito Bowl and it was good! If you're in the mood for some burrito but in Pinoy (because it's in a form of a rice bowl), you might want to try this!
There were also many activities on the island. We tried paraw sailing, which involved renting a boat. The best time was definitely during sunset when we could see the beautiful island and the sun setting.
But for me, the most beautiful part of the whole trip was seeing the stunning waters in Boracay. The clear blue water was incredible, and I loved just sitting by the beach, soaking it all in and enjoying the relaxing vibe.
Will I come back? Absolutely! I’m already looking forward to it, even if it’s not too soon. I dream of exploring different places, and I know the world has so much more amazing experiences waiting for me!
